It is the Brazilian Air Command Instruction that sets procedures and responsibilities for safe access to Brazilian airspace by unmanned aircraft. The 2026 edition entered into force on July 1, 2026.
Do drones up to 250 g require authorization?
As a rule, yes. ICA 100-40/2026 requires prior airspace access through SARPAS for aircraft up to 250 g as well. The rule provides an exception for conditioned airspace intended exclusively for recreational flights; always check the official conditions for your operation.
